Pocket diapers are shaped like disposables. They have a pocket or sleeve where you stuff inserts to make the diaper absorbent. You can remove the inserts before washing, for better washing and faster drying.
The great thing about pocket diapers is that they're so flexible. Use less inserts during the day; more during the night. The pockets also ensure that the inserts stay in place.
All the pockets we sell are adjustable so you can use them from infancy to potty-training.
Cover + Insert systems are the best balance of value and functionality.
Unlike pocket diapers, the insert goes on the shell instead of in a pocket. This means you need to make sure the shell fits properly, so the insert doesn't wiggle around in the cover. The advantage of this system is that you save more than pocket diapers: when baby needs changing, just change the insert and reuse the shell.
We sell both sized as well as adjustable cover + insert systems.
Cover + Fitted systems are the most leakproof systems. The fitted diaper is already shaped like a disposable; it doesn't yet have a built-in waterproof cover, so you add a cover over it for additional leakproof protection.
The great thing about this system is that it's flexible. You can remove the cover around the house if you wish, so that baby feels cooler.
An "AIO" is an all-in-one diaper. No more missing inserts; no more stuffing; no separate layers. The diaper looks almost exactly like a disposable in that everything is one piece.
