I'm a teacher by profession based in Quezon City, and I'm a mom to a cheerful, delightful 1-year-old boy. I started this website for two reasons.
First, when I was pregnant, I realized how immobilizing pregnancy can be. There are so many things that need to be bought for baby, but it can get very difficult to go to the mall and spend days and days shopping. If only I could buy everything from the convenience of my home, I thought to myself. So after giving birth, I decided to start an online one-stop baby store where Mommies (and Daddies) could purchase the various things that they need for baby without having to leave the house.
Secondly, I'm a cloth-diapering mom, and when I went shopping at the malls I was dismayed by the lack of cloth diapering options available to Filipina moms. I was stunned, for example, to find that there were no high-quality diaper covers in the Philippines, even though modern cloth diapering is booming across the globe. So I decided to help make more cloth diapering options available to Pinay moms. I became an official reseller various cloth diapering products, starting with Thirsties diaper covers, which I use for my own son and which I swear by. Since then, I have become an official reseller of various top-quality cloth diaper brands.
Pinoybaby Store aims to be a one-stop online shop for pregnant and new moms in the Philippines. We only stock items we personally believe in. We lean towards products that promote natural parenting. We particularly like merchandise that is good for the environment and/or good for the country, apart from being great for baby and mommy. We also are particularly interested in meeting suppliers who are Pinay WAHMs and mompreneurs.
